White Blood Cells in Body

White Blood Cells (WBCs), also called leukocytes, are an important part of the body’s immune system. They help protect the body from infections, bacteria, viruses, fungi, and other harmful substances by identifying and destroying them. WBCs are produced mainly in the bone marrow and circulate in the blood and lymphatic system. There are several types of white blood cells, each with a specific role in defending the body and helping it fight diseases and maintain overall health.
